BY MAKING AN ONLINE RESERVATION YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING POLICIES AND CONDITIONS OF JOES SHANGHAI RESTAURANT. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING POLICY AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE MAKING AN ONLINE RESERVATION. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE POLICY AND CONDITIONS, PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS RESERVATION SYSTEM.
IMPORTANT: Our Midtown NYC location has two dining floors. The 2nd floor dining area is only accessible by our grand staircase. We do NOT have an elevator.
Elderly, Handicapped, or Special Needs Persons
If you are booking for elderly, handicapped, or special needs persons
and need seating on our main floor, please tell us in the note space on the
reservation so that we can reserve your table on our main floor dining area.
Our wait staff are NOT licensed to carry such persons up or down the stairs
and cannot be made responsible to do so. This is important to the safety of
our employees and our valued customers.
Reservations Limited to Parties of Four (4) Persons or More
Parties of less than four (4) persons will usually not experience long
waiting periods for seating. Therefore, we are only accepting reservations
for parties of four (4) persons or greater.
No Same Day Reservations Accepted
Our online reservation system will only accept next day or later booking dates.
We require at least one days advanced notice to ensure appropriate accomodations
for parties of four (4) persons or more.
Arrival Time and Attendance for Fair Reserved Seating
ALL PERSONS IN RESERVATION PARTY MUST BE PRESENT at time of seating. Your party
will NOT be seated at the reserved table until all members in party have arrived.
We CANNOT guarantee reserved seating for parties that arrive later than their
reservation time. Your table will be given to the next attending party if your
party is not present at the reserved time. We recommend that you notify your party
to ARRIVE AT LEAST TEN TO FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE the specified reservation time to
ensure that all members meet the reserved booking time. This rule is put in place
to be fair to ALL patrons holding reservations.
Reservation Block Out Periods
Although we try to accomodate all of our patrons to the best of our ability,
there are times that our culinary services are in greater than usual demand.
None is more evident than during the holidays. You may experience periods where
our reservation system will not accept your request. This is usually due to
the fact that we are overbooked and have no farther availability for the requested time.
Such occurrences are common around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
Cancellations and Abuse
Customers that abuse the reservation system with consistent and frequent cancellations,
or no-shows are a harm to our business. Such abuse also ruins the potential availability
to our regular patrons. We reserve the right to not honor reservations and/or refuse service
to anyone abusing this system. We apologize in advance to our patrons that are declined
accomodations due to those that are inconsiderate and abuse the reservation system.
Should the event arise where you have made a reservation and need to cancel, please use the online cancellation feature by entering your reservation number and email address. We appreciate cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance. Last minute no-shows or cancellations made on the same day as the reservation are noted and tracked as abuse.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to providing an enjoyable
dining experience.
